Prior to founding Astreas, Shahreen served as Deputy Head of Global Business at Palantir and holds an MPhil in Counter-Terrorism and Security from the University of Cambridge, with additional training in finance and strategy at Sciences Po in Paris. Passionate about pairing pleasure and performance, she staged in a Michelin-starred kitchen in Northern California and at a French bistro in Paris. She first fused science, strategy, and innovation as founder of PurifAid, a cleantech venture that turned the byproduct of Scotch whisky into a technology for removing arsenic from contaminated water.

A veteran of five Space Shuttle missions and seven spacewalks, Scott is a former NASA astronaut, physician, and United States Astronaut Hall of Fame inductee. A graduate of Stanford University and Stanford Medical School, he completed his medical internship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital of Harvard Medical School before flying missions aboard the Space Shuttle. He is the first person to both fly in space and summit Mount Everest, and later served as an Olympic coach for the U.S. Luge Team. He brings rare insight into human performance in extreme environments to his role as Chief Medical Officer at Astreas.
